Polka Dots and Pins

It's mentioned in one of the earliest chapters in Fashion 101 that anything polka dots is vintage, if done right and sassy otherwise. Especially as neck-gear. Tying the polka dotted scarf around the neck in a knot or a bow are instant outfit-lifters. Or doing the 70's polka head-band. Then sometimes the polka dots are the sole show-stealers on a block ensemble or engaged in concerto with other geometries.

In any case, this isn't Fashion 101's Chapter Polka. What it is, is an expression of my polka dotted scarf worn not so much as a scarf.

These are football pins, from the good old times, when the Longhorns were unbeatable with McCoy and killed OU and A&M. This year, different story. Nevertheless, I like the pins for two reasons now: one, they add quirk to an otherwise plain jacket and two, they remind me of the indefatigable Longhorns might then.

Meanwhile, join me on Facebook, if you please. I think I've found a tentative answer to the ever so confounding question "What's your personal style" of dressing. *wink*

I love polka dots but have a tough time finding them in this country since everything is either plain or stripes!!

I like the way you styled ur polka - tucked in ur scarf and just closed two buttons. Looks girly and polished..And the color of the scarf is so yummy and it stands out more against the black. Again, great styling..

the pins are not visible in the first two shots becoz of ur hair:(
